Hoy en d\u00eda, documentamos nuestros viajes digitalmente y colgamos las fotos en redes sociales como Instagram. Ya no nos preguntamos si alguien quiere ver los mejores momentos de nuestras vacaciones. Esta evoluci\u00f3n de nuestros h\u00e1bitos se ha convertido en una tendencia que ha sacudido el sector tur\u00edstico en todo el mundo en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os: El turismo de Instagram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 es el turismo de Instagram?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En t\u00e9rminos neutros, se entiende por turismo de Instagram, en breve \u00abInstaturismo\u00bb, lo siguiente: Turistas que viajan a lugares a menudo bastante remotos o poco conocidos, capturan sus descubrimientos en forma de fotos o v\u00eddeos y los comparten en las redes sociales. Como consecuencia, estos lugares son cada vez m\u00e1s conocidos, lo que significa que cada vez son m\u00e1s los viajeros que se lanzan a la aventura del viaje para tomar una foto de este tipo para su propio feed. En estos casos, el viaje ya no consiste tanto en la experiencia en s\u00ed, sino en la foto o el v\u00eddeo que luego se comparte en Instagram y dem\u00e1s.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De hecho, cada vez m\u00e1s viajeros se convierten en gu\u00edas tur\u00edsticos autoproclamados o elegidos. Comparten sus recuerdos de las vacaciones en forma de fotos id\u00edlicas en Instagram (y otras plataformas), a menudo publicando rincones remotos de la naturaleza, as\u00ed como lugares de inter\u00e9s en las ciudades. Aparentemente, seg\u00fan lo que muestra la foto, se puede disfrutar de ellos sin ser molestado. Paz, relax, tiempo libre... estas y otras palabras similares se suelen utilizar en la descripci\u00f3n que las acompa\u00f1a, con detalles del lugar y de c\u00f3mo llegar al escenario de ensue\u00f1o.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los autores de los consejos de viaje digitales suelen ser <a href=\"https:\/\/stratewave.com\/es\/2022\/09\/22\/are-we-arriving-upon-the-death-of-influencer-marketing\/\">influencer<\/a>. Es decir, personalidades que cuentan con un gran n\u00famero de seguidores y llegan con sus posts a lectores de todo el mundo. Como su nombre indica -influencer significa literalmente influenciador-, su opini\u00f3n es muy solicitada y vale mucho. Tanto es as\u00ed que ahora muchos destinos tur\u00edsticos les encargan que informen sobre destinos de excursiones, etc. y as\u00ed atraer a m\u00e1s visitantes. Como tantos otros avances digitales, esta nueva tendencia parece aportar muchas ventajas. Los comentarios aut\u00e9nticos de personas reales y (te\u00f3ricamente) neutrales sobre lugares, parques naturales, restaurantes, etc. garantizan m\u00e1s visitantes a destinos posiblemente bastante aislados que, de otro modo, ni siquiera aparecer\u00edan en el radar de muchos turistas. Idealmente, esto tambi\u00e9n garantiza un repunte econ\u00f3mico en estos lugares, ya que m\u00e1s gente tambi\u00e9n significa m\u00e1s clientes en tiendas, alojamientos, restaurantes, bares o cafeter\u00edas. Y eso, a su vez, crea m\u00e1s puestos de trabajo. Las organizaciones tur\u00edsticas adem\u00e1s tienen la oportunidad de dirigir el flujo de visitantes de forma selectiva, ya que pueden encargar a los influencers que informen sobre lugares a los que les vendr\u00eda bien un empujoncito. En teor\u00eda suena muy bien, \u00bfverdad?\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Consecuencias negativas del turismo de Instagram<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sin embargo, la realidad suele ser muy distinta. Como tantas cosas en la World Wide Web, el alcance del Instaturismo es bastante dif\u00edcil de controlar y el efecto bola de nieve es abrumador en muchos lugares. Cuando las fotos muestran playas desiertas, la realidad muchas veces suele mostrar exactamente lo contrario. \u00bfEst\u00e1 realmente la viajera sentada sola frente a esta impresionante roca en Tailandia, por ejemplo? En la mayor\u00eda de los casos, en el fondo se presenta una larga cola de \u00abInstagramers\u00bb esperando su turno.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rincones escondidos en las monta\u00f1as, en el bosque, en lagos u otros lugares de la naturaleza, que en un principio eran muy id\u00edlicos, ahora son visitados por riadas de visitantes, lo que hace que la tendencia del turismo de Instagram directamente no sea viable en muchos lugares. En las reservas naturales, a menudo se ignoran los senderos se\u00f1alizados que sirven para preservar la flora y la fauna, est\u00e1 disminuyendo la proporci\u00f3n de visitantes que viajan de forma consciente y eliminan sus residuos correctamente, por ejemplo, y las molestias por ruido y el aumento del tr\u00e1fico tambi\u00e9n se est\u00e1n convirtiendo en un problema cada vez m\u00e1s grave. El ambiente cambia, los visitantes ya no son bienvenidos y en algunos casos los residentes se ven incluso obligados a buscar otro lugar donde vivir. Ya ni siquiera pueden disfrutar de sus \u00abrincones secretos\u00bb. Esto no s\u00f3lo ocurre en la naturaleza, sino tambi\u00e9n en ciudades como Venecia o \u00c1msterdam. Cada vez son m\u00e1s los destinos que se ven obligados a cerrar completamente el acceso a reservas naturales o rincones caracter\u00edsticos o a cobrar entrada a los escenarios m\u00e1s populares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c1msterdam, por ejemplo, ha restringido el n\u00famero m\u00e1ximo de pernoctaciones tur\u00edsticas al a\u00f1o. El Parque Nacional de Berchtesgaden, en Alemania, con su maravillosa cascada y sus piscinas naturales, tuvo que cerrar por primera vez desde su creaci\u00f3n en 1978. Lo mismo ocurre con el campamento base del Everest, que el Gobierno decidi\u00f3 cerrar en 2019 para limpiar las ocho toneladas de basura que se han acumulado all\u00ed debido al creciente n\u00famero de visitantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bfHay formas de afrontar los problemas?&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Como ya se ha mencionado, hay muchas zonas grises en el entorno digital y dificultades para contrarrestar ciertas tendencias, sobre todo porque la informaci\u00f3n puede propagarse sin fronteras en un plazo de tiempo muy corto. Se ha demostrado en tendencias digitales como los <a href=\"https:\/\/stratewave.com\/es\/2024\/05\/09\/deepfakes-a-digital-dilemma-between-chances-and-challenges\/\">deepfakes<\/a>que se han vuelto cada vez m\u00e1s comunes desde la era de la inteligencia artificial accesible para todos, as\u00ed como los desaf\u00edos que existen con herramientas como <a href=\"https:\/\/stratewave.com\/es\/2024\/02\/16\/ai-vs-human-creativity\/\">ChatGPT<\/a> y el tema de los derechos de autor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El Instaturismo es un fen\u00f3meno que muy probablemente ha llegado para quedarse, y dado que cada vez m\u00e1s empresas del sector tur\u00edstico recurren a este canal para promocionarse, resulta dif\u00edcil ignorarlo. Sin embargo, dado que ofrece oportunidades y tambi\u00e9n retos, quiz\u00e1 no sea necesario. En primer lugar, es importante que las instituciones pertinentes apuesten por un modelo tur\u00edstico sostenible. Seg\u00fan la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unwto.org\/es\/desarrollo-sostenible\">ONU Turismo turismo sostenible es<\/a> el \u00abque tiene plenamente en cuenta las repercusiones actuales y futuras, econ\u00f3micas, sociales y medioambientales para satisfacer las necesidades de los visitantes, de la industria, del entorno y de las comunidades anfitrionas.\u00bb bas\u00e1ndose en tres principios b\u00e1sicos:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ecol\u00f3gicamente sostenible<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00c9tico, socialmente justo y culturalmente apropiado<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Econ\u00f3micamente viable y productivo<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aparte de las correspondientes condiciones marco in situ, tambi\u00e9n hay que trabajar para sensibilizar y educar a los viajeros. \u00c9ste es probablemente el mayor reto.
